St Ives
St Ives has captivated artists and summer visitors for generations. It is incredibly picturesque with fishermen’s cottages nudging the shoreline, little cobbled streets meandering around the centre, startling blue sea and perfect golden sand. St Ives has a bustling and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Restaurants serve fresh fish landed in the harbour, there are café’s, art galleries and studios everywhere, with Tate St Ives, an offshoot of Tate Modern, forming a focal point. St Ives also enjoys a mild climate; frost in winter is rare. There are three local beaches including Porthmeor – family friendly surfing. The coastline, bounded by the coastal footpath, is spectacular around this part of Cornwall.
